Jan Johnson
Involved in
Agility for almost 3 years and working with Picasso, a
sheltie cross, they have attained their Championship Level. Jan
believes that refining her cueing system and working as a
tight team has brought them success in the form of Picasso
being chosen "Best Starter Dog" at the BC Regionals, and
winning his first big prize - a set of weave poles! He
also came in sixth in his height category! Jan and Picasso
also qualified for the Nationals both years. Jan
really enjoys the adrenaline and the intense focus that
competing in Agility requires - not to mention working
with a great little team-mate!
Jan
continually improves her agility skills through seminars
over the past few years with Kim Collins, Guy Blancke
and Barb Davis, where she picked up lots of great
information. “I've also learned that the best teacher is
your dog - they'll always let you know when you goofed
up!” she says.
