Dog agility is a sport where a handler is given a set amount of time to direct a dog off-leash through an obstacle course. Obstacles may include contact obstacles, tunnels and various jumps.
Our club is a fun place for dogs and people alike. For those who take it more seriously, our coaches are able to offer a challenging environment. Many of our dogs go on to compete in agility trials and our record of producing winners is notable.
Competitive agility calls for the highest level of agility from dogs both in terms of speed and the physical ability to perform the obstacles.

If you are interested in more information, join us at our 5th annual Lyle Brown AAC sanctioned agility trial being held September 15 and 16, 2007, at the Kelowna Riding Club, 3745 Gordon Drive.  There you can watch more than 60 dogs from all over BC, in action.  You will be able to talk, firsthand, to dog owners, all levels of handlers and trainers, and even the dogs themselves.  The only cost to you will be the drive there.  Come and learn everything you thought you wanted to know, and more, about the exciting fast-paced dog sport of Agility!

Breeds Involved:
Agility is for all breeds, purebred or mixed. Our "All Canadian" dogs do equally as well as those with a pedigree. Dogs of medium build that come from breeds that have retained their original working abilities do best. However, dogs of all types can quickly learn to love and to excel at the sport.
